This finishing filter addresses many of the more persistent impurities that get past particle filters or low-pressure-drop cartridges, making it a great answer for pesticides/herbicides and other environmental pollutants. We recommend changing your carbon filters every 12 months or as soon as you start noticing a chlorine taste/smell in your water.
