INSTALLATION
Cirrus RO systems can be installed without any cutting or drilling through the countertop if they are connected to a new 3-way mixer tap instead of a standalone faucet, but we still strongly recommend having the installation completed by a licensed plumber to avoid leaks, pressure loss, or incorrectly directed wastewater.
The Cirrus system should be placed in the cupboard underneath the connected tap. The 4th and 5th stage filter cartridges may be installed beside the system rather than on top if space is limited. The leak detection valve will need to be glued and/or drilled into the shelf/cupboard to ensure secure and reliable placement.
For specific installation instructions, download the guide found in the Manuals & resources tab. Instructions are also available via the QR code provided in the box when you purchase a Cirrus unit.

Product details
The highest level of filtration
The Cirrus system uses Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology to strip the tiniest impurities out of your drinking water, pushing it through a semi-permeable membrane that blocks anything larger than a red blood cell. The pores in this membrane are 5,000 times finer than a premium carbon filter, providing unparalleled protection for your home and family whether your water comes from the mains, a bore, or a rainwater tank.
This is one of the only ways to effectively block dissolved substances like fluoride and sodium, and it filters harmful PFAS compounds more effectively than any cartridge system.
The purification process
- 5-micron sediment pre-filter
A multi-layer polypropylene sediment filter traps solid particles like rust, silt, and sediment, keeping them from clogging or damaging the system’s more delicate components. - 5-micron coconut carbon pre-filter
A block of 100% coconut carbon provides further protection against chemicals and impurities, taking things like chlorine and VOCs off the RO membrane’s plate. - 0.0001-micron RO membrane
Pressurised water molecules are forced through the RO membrane’s microscopic pores, stripping out over 99% of impurities. - Storage
Purified water is held in a storage tank, ready to be delivered to your tap. RO purification is incredibly thorough, but it’s also quite slow; the tank makes sure you always have enough water ready to go. - Magnesium remineralisation
When you turn on your RO tap, water leaves the tank and passes through a magnesium cartridge to restore trace amounts of the healthy minerals stripped away by the purification process. - 5-micron GAC filter
Finally, the water passes through a high-grade carbon filter to deal with any changes in taste or odour that may have come from the tank or remineraliser.
Warranty
Cloudtap’s Cirrus 5-stage Reverse Osmosis systems are covered by a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty. Full details can be found on page 25 of the owner’s manual, which is provided in the Manuals & docs tab.
WARNING: For correct operation of this appliance, it is essential to observe the manufacturer’s instructions.
CAUTION: DO NOT use on microbiologically unsafe water without adequate disinfection. Check your cartridge selection for contaminant reduction capabilities.
DO NOT use any type of liquid thread sealant when installing or servicing. Only use thread tape or a fitting with a suitable o-ring to seal. A pressure limiting device to 500 kPa is required for pressure exceeding 500 kPa.
Flush tank after periods of non-use exceeding 48 hours. Minimum recommended inlet pressure: 400 kPa
